From Montana to Pennsylvania. Why carve in cold places?

Wow. What a trip. I'm exhausted. It's been two weeks since the Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous in Pennsylvania, finally, I think, I'm recovered. Both from that and the trip to Montana. Catching planes, renting cars, shipping chainsaws, socializing, and signing books. About 200 carvers most of them from the East Coast, but 7 other countries represented too. My 2nd time, what a blow. This year the cover of my book Art of Chainsaw Carving was featured on the t-shirt design. Very cool. Kind of a rewarding feeling to see all these carvers running around with something I work hard on portrayed on their chests! I managed to carve a couple things. Unfortunately one of my chainsaws fried. Fortunately, a carver (a couple) loaned me saws. Very proud of my new chair design. A chair for two people with a cherry blossom design on the chair back.
Pennsylvania wasn't as cold as the previous week carving in Montana. When are they gonna have these gatherings somewhere warm!
your articles make the carvings become even more alive...you have a gift for capturing readers with your previews..a.a.
